History

On July 4, 2001, the ISTeA association was founded in Ancona by a group of Professors and Researchers, namely:

Mario De Grassi, Massimo Lemma, Berardo Naticchia, Fabrizio Leccisi, Carlo Argiolas, Maria Cristina Cacchioni, Roberto Gagliardi, Alberto Giretti, Maria Augusta Staffolani, Matteo Zambelli, Ettore Zambelli, Marcello Picene, Antonio Ceradini, Maurizio Nicolella, Giuseppe Alaimo, Marzo Di Marcello, Guido Raffaele Dell’Osso, Gabriella Zangrandi, Luigi Morra, Francesco Gio-vanni Tomasinelli, Umberto Rodonò, Mariagrazia Rejna, Pietro Natale Maggi, Angelo Luigi Camillo Ciribini, Giorgio Cacciaguerra, Pietro Capone and Bruno Daniotti,

decided to create a scientific association called “ITALIAN SOCIETY OF SCIENCES, TECHNOLOGIES AND ENGINEERING OF ARCHITECTURE” referred to briefly as “ISTeA.”

The ISTeA propose is to gather individuals, legal entities and institutions that are active in the field of Construction, regardless of their specialty of origin, in order to facilitate, on a practical and interdisciplinary basis, the emergence of innovative sciences and technologies.

The general objectives of ISTeA are:

  • Knowledge advancement in architectural science, technology and engineering in Italy and abroad;
  • All necessary efforts for the promotion of an integrated management of studies and research;
  • the publication of periodical bulletins, manuals, etc.;
  • the collection of informative available materials suitable for the pursuit of social purposes;
  • the exchange of information among members;
  • the organization of training courses, seminars, round tables, conferences, etc.;
  • relations with similar Italian or foreign scientific societies and organizations.
